Kazakhstan has started building the first facility in its planned “Data Center Valley” in the Pavlodar region. The initial site will deliver 50 MW of capacity, with launch scheduled for June 2027. The long-term plan is to scale the project to 1 GW.
The new infrastructure is designed to host AI factories, GPU clusters, and cloud platforms for international companies. In practical terms, this means a large-scale compute base built for artificial intelligence workloads, high-density server deployments, and services that require substantial power and network resources.
The project is being developed together with NVIDIA and Firebird AI. Kazakhstan is also in talks with other foreign technology companies and investors, aiming to attract not only compute capacity but also partnerships, expertise, and long-term infrastructure commitments.
The construction site is being monitored around the clock, and progress can reportedly be followed online through continuous video surveillance.
