Global WLAN Industry Forum 2026 in Barcelona: Combining AI and WLAN

The 2026 Global WLAN Industry Forum (WAA) took place with international participation from experts, operators, vendors, and researchers, focusing on creating a new AI-WLAN ecosystem standard. The main focus of the forum was on integrating artificial intelligence into WLAN infrastructure to enhance user experiences and industrial applications.

Participants discussed the future transformation of WLAN services from passive networks into proactive GA systems, supporting predictive traffic analysis, adaptive resource management, and network process automation. This will strengthen WLAN networks’ compatibility with IoT devices, AI data aggregators, and high-performance applications.

The forum attracted over a hundred participants from the global supply chain — from standardization experts to academic institutions and telecom operators. Two memorandums of cooperation in AI-WLAN standardization were signed, creating a foundation for accelerated adoption of compatible technologies globally and reinforcing the innovation ecosystem.

These initiatives will help the global development community unite efforts to create next-generation intelligent networks, improving efficiency in various scenarios — from smart cities to corporate solutions requiring high bandwidth and low latency.
