Accenture to Acquire Ookla and Other Ziff Davis Connectivity Brands for $1.2 Billion

On March 4, 2026, Accenture announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire Ookla and other brands from Ziff Davis’s Connectivity division for $1.2 billion in cash. The transaction includes Ookla, Speedtest, Ekahau, Downdetector, and RootMetrics.

Ookla is widely known as a provider of network performance analytics and benchmarking solutions for telecom operators, enterprises, and regulators. Following the closing of the deal, Accenture plans to integrate Ookla’s solutions into its Industry X division and expand its services for telecom operators, hyperscalers, and enterprise customers.

According to Ziff Davis CEO Vivek Shah, the sale represents significant value realization for shareholders. The company’s shares rose following the announcement of the transaction.

The acquisition strengthens Accenture’s position in network analytics and Wi‑Fi and 5G optimization, while expanding its capabilities in digital transformation services for telecom operators.
