Nokia and Databricks Validate Unified Data Platform for Autonomous Telecom Networks

Nokia and Databricks have announced the successful completion of a joint proof of concept for a unified data platform built to support AI-driven autonomous telecom networks. The solution is designed to provide operators with a single data environment that consolidates information from multiple network systems and infrastructure layers.

Modern telecom operators typically manage hundreds of separate OSS/BSS platforms, network management systems and cloud environments, creating fragmented data silos that make large-scale AI deployment difficult. As a result, implementing real-time analytics and network automation often requires complex integration projects.

The new platform enables operators to aggregate data regardless of whether it resides in public clouds, private cloud environments or on-premises infrastructure. This cloud-agnostic architecture allows AI applications and analytics to operate across different environments without rewriting code or redesigning existing systems.

Following the successful proof of concept, Nokia and Databricks plan to continue collaborating on technologies that support autonomous networks, enabling AI applications to process, correlate and act on large volumes of network data in real time.
