Nokia and Databricks test platform for autonomous telecom networks

Nokia and Databricks have completed joint testing of a data processing platform aimed at helping telecom operators build more automated network environments.

The solution addresses one of the key challenges for operators — managing fragmented data across multiple network management systems and platforms.

Modern telecom networks often include equipment from different vendors, while operational data is distributed across multiple OSS/BSS systems. This makes real-time automation and analytics more difficult.

The new platform enables operators to combine data from different environments, including cloud-based and on-premise systems, without completely rebuilding existing infrastructure.
