IHS Towers Sells Brazil and Colombia Assets for $952 Million

IHS Towers has reached an agreement to divest its telecom tower operations in Brazil and Colombia to Macquarie Asset Management in a deal valued at approximately $952 million on an enterprise value basis.

The transaction covers around 8,860 tower sites operated by IHS’s subsidiary in the region. The sale reflects a strategic portfolio rebalancing as the company refocuses on other core markets.

Infrastructure investors continue to view tower assets as attractive long‑term investments due to stable cash flows supported by multi‑year contracts with mobile network operators. The transaction also highlights ongoing consolidation within the global tower sector, where private equity and infrastructure funds are expanding their footprint.

For the broader telecom market, the deal reinforces the role of tower companies as critical infrastructure providers supporting 4G and 5G network expansion.
