VEON: Record Digital Revenue Growth and AI Focus in Uzbekistan

According to the report released on March 13, 2026, VEON's digital revenues surged by 84%, accounting for over 20% of the group's total revenue. The primary drivers were the markets of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, where the company is actively implementing its "Digital Operator 1440" strategy. In Uzbekistan, Beeline continues to scale its partnership with Rakuten Symphony to deploy Open RAN and AI solutions, which has optimized network costs and enabled the launch of personalized SaaS products for the retail sector.

VEON CEO Kaan Terzioğlu emphasized that the transformation from a traditional connectivity provider to a digital platform provider is complete. Specifically, in Uzbekistan, the company is focusing on supporting businesses through data analytics and cloud services, contributing to the country’s emergence as a regional IT hub. A 29% EBITDA growth confirms the effectiveness of investments in sovereign AI infrastructure and financial services (AdTech, FinTech), which are integrated into Beeline ecosystems across the CIS.
