By mid-March 2026, the project to create the region’s most powerful AI center, equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, became a central topic in Armenia's IT community. The infrastructure base is provided by Team Telecom Armenia and the Irish firm Imagine Broadband. The 100MW facility is intended to turn the country into a global AI hub.
However, experts have pointed out risks: under current plans, up to 80% of the computing power will be reserved for international corporations, leaving only 20% for Armenia’s internal needs. This has raised concerns regarding information security and the dependence of national critical infrastructure on external players. Nevertheless, the project's realization will ensure an unprecedented influx of technology and create thousands of jobs in SaaS and Data Science, solidifying Armenia’s status as a technological leader in the South Caucasus.
