Uzbekistan and the United States Establish Joint Investment Platform

On February 19, 2026, following negotiations in Washington, Uzbekistan and the United States announced the creation of a joint investment platform. The initiative involves the U.S. Export‑Import Bank and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

The platform is designed to finance priority infrastructure, energy, and technology projects. Particular attention will be given to industrial modernization and digital sector development.

Both sides expressed their intention to expand the participation of U.S. financial institutions in projects across Uzbekistan. The initiative aims to attract long‑term capital and strengthen bilateral investment cooperation.
